The aerial cable along 300 meter on Jalan Teluk Betung, Kebon Melati, Tanah Abang, were controlled by 14 personnel of Central Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-agency, Thursday (1/16).

Central Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-agency Head, Muhammad Soleh said the aerial cable controlling was already planned since last year. His side also had coordinated this with the operator.

"Today we start controlling the utility aerial cable on Jalan Betung along 300 meter," he said, Thursday (1/16).

Soleh added the length of Jalan Teluk Betung up to Jalan Mashabi is 1,550 meter. As planned before, all aerial cables along the roads will be controlled in stages.

"We request the cable to be installed inside the underground ducting," he a dded.

According to him, the controlling involved 14 taskforce personnel, one ladder car, and tailgate traga truck. It was also attended by 17 representatives of cable operator owner.

"Not only to give safe and comfort, the aerial cable controlling will also add the environmental aesthetic," he stated.  

One of RW 01 Kebon Melati Urban Village residents, Rahmat, appreciated the aerial cable controlling. Previously, the aerial cable made the area looked messy.

"Thanks for controlling the aerial cable," he admitted.
